MONTREAL & DORVAL PHYSIO CLINIC UPDATE: Telerehabilitation in Physio & Physiotherapy

Our physical rehabilitation and physiotherapy centres offer telerehabilitation services to clients who are able to benefit from them. This approach is intended for people

  • For whom remote interventions will be safe, considering their general health condition;
  • Who show understanding and care;
  • Who have the technological resources necessary for the meetings.

All of these prerequisites allow our physiotherapists to ensure that they will be able to offer you quality care, even though the meeting is not in person. Regardless of how the consultation is carried out, our primary objective is to be able to provide you with all the necessary help to guarantee that your rehabilitation is carried out in the best possible conditions.

If telerehabilitation is right for you, you will benefit in several ways. For example, it is particularly interesting for patients living in remote areas, who have limited access to transportation or who have the symptoms of a contagious disease and who must, in this case, remain isolated at home.

Telerehabilitation performed in our Dorval and Montréal (Côte-des-Neiges) clinics allows patients to perform strength and balance exercises, as well as respiratory, cardiovascular and functional exercises. Instruction can also be given to learn how to screen for and identify certain physiological problems.

Confidential and secure, these remote meetings, offered via a videoconferencing platform, also make it possible to monitor the evolution of wounds and advise patients on health and accident prevention.

To take advantage of such a service, it is preferable to discuss it beforehand with a physiotherapy professional. To do so, fill out our short form or request a free consultation in the clinic or by videoconference. We will then be able to determine whether you meet the criteria of the medical and rehabilitation centre of your choice.
